About
Epic Scuba Diving...
SDI
Senior Instructor Trainer, HSA & SDI Scubility Instructor, and Ocean
Conservationist Divemaster join forces to form Epic Scuba Diving.
SDI Divemaster
Heather Morale and SDI Instructor Susan Walker have joined forces to
form Illinois’ newest SDI/TDI Training Facility. Joining this effort
is SDI Senior Instructor Trainer Marc Morale and SDI Instructor Jeff
Cascio.
As a SDI/TDI
sanctioned Training Facility, the focus of Epic Scuba Diving (www.epicscubadiving.com
) will be on training and not retail sales. The staff is comprised
of highly trained professionals with a passion for Scuba and a
desire to help everyone interested learn scuba in the safest way
possible. Epic Scuba Diving’s staff maintains credentials with SDI,
TDI, PADI, H.S.A., Diveheart, and Beautiful Oceans.
“Each of us at Epic
Scuba Diving has a special niche they fill. Mine is my affiliation
with Beautiful Oceans, an organization devoted to teaching the
public about coral reef conservation. Some of their topics of study
include Coral Reef Architecture & Organisms, Coral Reef Ecosystem &
Organisms, Coral Biology, Coral Reef Fishes and Coral Reef
Conservation. By applying my degree in Biology with the Beautiful
Oceans learning materials I hope to bring a new understanding of the
underwater world to adults and children who enjoy swimming,
snorkeling, and scuba diving”, said Heather Morale. To learn
more about Family Dive Programs or Epic's Conservation Programs, you
can email Heather at
heather@epicscubadiving.com.
Susan Walker is an
SDI Open Water instructor who is also certified to teach an array of
specialties. “She has a knack for working with children and adults
who are not quite comfortable in their new venture. And if that
wasn’t enough, she is also certified to teach the disabled,”
commented Heather Morale. As an SDI sanctioned Scubility Instructor
(www.scubility.info
) and Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) Instructor Susan is
currently working with Diveheart and has just launched a program
dedicated to providing Disabled Veterans with scuba experiences.

Marc Morale works
closely with SDI International and with many dive shops in the area
to make sure their instructors have the knowledge to teach students
in the safest way possible. When Marc is not training instructors
you can find him at the local quarry teaching one of the many
specialties available to open water students. Known to many as the
Scuba Monk (www.scubamonk.com
), Marc is fully vested to perform weddings on land as well as
underwater. For more information on SDI Continuing Education,
becoming a Dive Professional, or having Marc officiate your wedding,
you can email Marc at
marc@epicscubadiving.com.
Jeff Cascio, aside from being a dedicated scuba
instructor, is a mechanical MacGyver of sorts. When he's not
getting wet leading students on deep or night dives, Jeff can be
often found tinkering with scuba gear. He helps keep Epic's
gear in tip-top shape. He's also a closet artist. Ask
him about vinyl decals or custom embroidery some time. You can
email Jeff at
jeff@epicscubadiving.com.
Epic Scuba Diving maintains a
regular training schedule and works with individuals and groups
through out the Chicagoland area. The staff regularly attends Scuba
and Travel trade shows. Attending these shows has enabled Epic Scuba
Diving to assist individuals in planning trips as well as planning
group trips to exotic locations. For more information about group
trips go to
